The career of Dave Liebman, a Renaissance man of contemporary jazz, spans almost fifty years. Liebman has played with iconic jazz musicians like Miles Davis, John McLaughlin, Elvin Jones, Chick Corea, et al.

The programme performed in Cēsis is a jazz take on Modest Mussorgsky’s ‘Pictures at an Exhibition’, the piano concerto so well-known in classical musical circles, a dedication to the composer’s friend, the architect Viktor Hartmann.
