Denis Pashkevich has previously joined forces with the American world-class jazz percussionist Brian Melvin in a number of projects. In Cēsis, they are going to present a unique, as yet unperformed programme featuring original works by the two musicians.
Brian Melvin has performed and recorded with many world-famous musicians, the likes of Joe Henderson, Mike Stern, John Scofield, Michael Brecker, Randy Brecker and many others. Melvin is also well known on the international jazz scene; in the late 1980s, he played percussion at the famous Blue Note jazz club in New York.
