latest sensation in the Latvian musical performing arts. Following his
prize-winning appearance at the prestigious Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw (2015),
Georgijs has been receiving countless invitations to appear in concerts abroad.
Georgijs Osokins stands out with his vivid interpretations and artistic flair. He
enraptures his admirers and challenges the more sceptical listener. Alongside
his studies, Georgijs Osokins is pursuing a busy performing career, appearing
in many European countries, Russia, Japan and USA.
The DD Orchestra (DD stands for ‘draugi un domubiedri’ ‒ ‘like-minded friends’)
has previously focused on music by the younger generation of Latvian composers;
the orchestra was founded by the Latvian National Opera and Ballet conductor,
the Artistic Director of the Kamēr… Choir Jānis Liepiņš.
