Recent engagements include his debut at the Bayreuther Festspiele under the baton of Christian Thielemann, the Demon new production at Teatro del Liceo Barcelona,Wanderer at Opera Munich, Lysiart at Dresdner Philharmonie, Walküre Wotan at Staatsoper Hamburg, Telramund at Tokyo Spring Festival, among others.
He returned to Opera de Paris with Samson et Dalila and Lohengrin with maestro Philippe Jordan, and sung as well Wanderer at Leipzig and Budapest Opera, Holländer at Teatro del Liceo Barcelona, Jochanaan at ABAO and Festival Verbier, among others.

He has performed Scarpia at Staatsoper Berlin, Ring/Wotan-Wanderer at Budapest Wagner festival and Tokio Nomori Festival, Kurwenal at Deutsche Oper Berlin, Jochanaan at Ravinia Festival Chicago, Amfortas at New National Theater Tokio, Holländer at ROH Covent Garden, Wotan and Wanderer at Leipzig Opera, Holländer at Düsseldorf Opera, Escamillo at Hamburg Opera, Wotan and Wanderer at Tokyo Nomori Spring Festival with Maestro Marek Janowski , Mandryka at Oper Köln, Ring/Wotan-Wanderer at Budapest Wagner festival, Pizarro at Vienna State Opera Jago at Cincinnati Hall with Maestro James Conlon.
The bass-baritone Egils Silins was born in Latvia and graduated from the Latvian Academy of Music. After having his debut at the Latvian National Opera, in ‘Mephistopheles’ (Boito) and winning ten international competitions he made his debut at the Wiener Staatsoper in ‘I Puritani’. He gained huge international acclaim singing the title role in ‘Le Demon’ (Rubinstein) at the Bregenzer Festspiele, and further more performed at prestigious music festivals including The Tanglewood Music Festival, Savonlinna Opera Festival and Glyndebourne Festival.
Egils Silins performes at many of the world ‘s leading opera houses, including Teatro alla Scala, Metropolitan Opera, Hamburgische Staatsoper, ROH London, Semperoper Dresden, Deutsche and Staatsoper Berlin, Teatro del Liceu, Teatro Real, Mariinsky Theatre, Opernhaus Zürich, Chicago Opera, Staatstheater München, among others.
